Review – NANO VAPOR by MuscleTech

NANO VAPOR can increase nitric oxide productionMuscleTech is one of the leading nutritional supplement companies in the world and has been leading the charge in nitric oxide booster development.  Their best Pre-workout supplement in their Performance series of products is NANO VAPOR.    I will say right off the bat, this supplement is designed for intense resistance exercise.  You don’t have to be a pro athlete to benefit from its ingredients.  But don’t waste your money on this product if you don’t plan to exercise HARD!    If you want a boost of energy prior to a workout and want to workout longer and harder than ever before, keep reading.

NANO VAPOR has a number of ingredients to increase blood flow to the muscles, to increase muscle growth, and to boost endurance for a longer peak output.  The supplement has three main complexes of nutrients:  The Pump and Performance Complex, the Cell Volumization and Growth Complex, and the Energy and Focus Complex.  The primary nitric oxide booster in NANO VAPOR is in its Pump and Performance matrix.   NANO VAPOR focuses its nitric oxide increases around L-Citrulline Malate.   Citrulline is involved in the nitric oxide synthase cycle which generates nitric oxide which keeps the blood vessels relaxed.  This vasodilation decreases the blood pressure and allows blood, oxygen and other nutrients to flow more freely around the body.  It aids in waste product removal and overall, makes the body work better.  The benefits of this increased blood flow, besides the ability to build more muscle and endurance, include improving sexual performance, cognitive function, wound healing, pain control, and even hair regrowth!  In this formulation, L-Citrulline has been shown to increase the plasma volume of Arginine over Arginine supplements alone, which leads to more endothelial nitric oxide available.  NANO VAPOR uses L-Citrulline to increase blood flow to directly increase exercise performance.

NANO VAPOR also includes Betaine, Quercetin and Yohimbine.  Quercetin is interesting because it is a flavonoid that may be involved in stimulating insulin secretion and is thought of as an anti-inflammatory.  Yohimbine is a metabolism booster.   NANO VAPOR also includes creatine to further volumize the cells.  Another interesting ingredient is the Beta-Alanine.  Beta-alanine is the rate-limiting precursor of Carnosine in the muscles.  University studies have shown that Carnosine allows one to build more lean muscle than the control/placebo group results.

One drawback or not, depending on your point of view, is that NANO VAPOR also includes about 130 mg of caffeine.  This is about the same amount as in 2 or so cups of coffee.  That, coupled with theanine, is part of the focus complex.    As with any caffeine products, those with sensitivity to it may experience restlessness, dizziness, nervousness, headaches, etc.  However, 130 mg is far less than more caffeine based pre-workout formulations.

As I said earlier, NANO VAPOR is pretty hardcore, but by no means pushes the envelope like some other supplements.  I like the fact that NANO VAPOR combines creatine and nitric oxide boosters.  I also like the fact that it primarily uses citrulline to increase NO.  I believe that NANO VAPOR is a pretty darn good all-around pre-workout supplement.  It gets very high review scores at Bodybuilding.com and is one of the most popular pre-workout nitric oxide boosters on the market.
